Causes of the Civil War.
There were many causes of the Civil war, but let's choose three.
- The south already had wavering faith in the North, and they did not trust Lincoln when it came to slavery.
- The Union and other foreign countries refused to recognized the Confederacy as a separate country, even though the country demanded respect. The union also refused to relinquish its forts located in the south.
- In retaliation, the Confederacy bombarded Fort Sumter, which ultimately started the war.
